The most notable feature of Sylvan Lake Dental Centre is its great team of support staff. You will experience the welcoming smile of our professionally trained administrative assistants, the knowledge and expert skills of our registered dental assistants, and the gentle but thorough treatment provided by our registered dental hygienists. We are all here to serve you and ensure your comfort.


Head Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa has worked with us since 2002. She thoroughly enjoys all aspects of dental hygiene, and strives to demonstrate quality and comprehensive dentistry in a caring, relaxed atmosphere. She also loves the wonderful patient base that we have developed over the years.

Lisa is originally from Saskatchewan and currently lives in Sylvan Lake with her wonderful husband and two fabulous children. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining family and friends, various outdoor activities, and traveling.


Head Registered Dental Assistant

Tara works hard assisting the doctors, ordering supplies, keeping up with inventory, and most importantly, helping keep our patients’ smiles looking their very best. She has been in the dental field since 1995, and joined the Sylvan Lake team in 2008. Tara loves seeing new faces every day. Constantly learning from each individual patient is very rewarding, especially seeing them leave here happy and smiling.

Tara is originally from Oxbow, Saskatchewan, and she has lived in Sylvan Lake since 2005. She is married with two children; a son, Brock, and a daughter, Bree. In her free time, Tara enjoys slow-pitch softball, hockey, golf, volleyball, and participating in her children’s sporting and school activities. 



Jami has worked at Sylvan Lake Dental Centre since 2004. She helps keep our patients’ smiles clean and healthy, and enjoys getting to know them and their families. Jami loves working at Sylvan Lake Dental because the doctors truly care about the well-being of their patients.

Jami has lived in Sylvan Lake since 2004 with her husband Jordan. When she has free time, she enjoys golfing, playing slow-pitch softball, reading, gardening, and cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders


Registered Dental Assistant

Heather is originally from Ontario, but moved to Alberta in 2006 and then to Sylvan Lake in 2007. Heather has been in the dental field for more than 20 years and has always been interested in working in a dental office.  She loves working and helping with people.  

Heather married a wonderful husband - Chad - in 2013 and they have an adorable son. They are building their home on an acreage near Sylvan Lake. In her free time Heather enjoys showing quarter horses, gardening, antique hunting and family time that life in the country provides.


Registered Dental Assistant

Katie has been in the dental industry for 5 years. She enjoys working in the fun and fast paced work setting. Katie takes pride in knowing that she can help people achieve their oral health goals. She loves to meet new people every day and help to create a calm and comfortable environment tailored to each individual’s needs. Her favorite part of being a dental assistant is that every day is different and there is always something new to learn.

 Katie and her husband, Graham, moved to Sylvan Lake in 2012. They have two dogs, a Basenji named Benji and a Chihuahua named Sushi. They love to travel and enjoy the outdoors by keeping active in every season. They are very busy in the winter months snowmobiling and snowboarding. Spring through fall they will be camping, biking and hiking. They love spending time with their families in Kelowna and Strathmore.


Registered Dental Assistant

Annika and her husband moved to Canada from Germany in 2010. They live on an acreage with their 5 cats and love to spend as much time outside as they can. When not working Annika likes to read, swim and periodically go traveling with her husband.

 Annika has been in the dental field since 2007 and loves everything about her profession, from meeting new people every day to hopefully making their appointments a little less stressful. She was excited to join the team at Sylvan Lake Dental Centre in May 2016. She likes the friendly atmosphere and quality of care provided for our patients.


Registered Dental Assistant

Meet Rebecca. She was ecstatic to join the Sylvan Lake Dental Centre team in December 2015. Rebecca loves the relaxed atmosphere of the office. She strives to be efficient and make our patients leave with a healthy happy smile.

Coming from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Rebecca graduated from SIAST Regina in 2014 as a Registered Dental Assistant. Rebecca loves to be active. In the summer she goes backpacking and camping in the mountains with her friends.


Registered Dental Assistant

Candice has been a dental assistant since 2008. She loves her profession, especially helping people achieve the smile they have always wanted. Her favourite things about work are meeting lots of new people and putting her skills to good use. She enjoys learning, which fits her well for dentistry because of the constant evolution of materials and procedures. 

Candice joined the team at Sylvan Lake Dental Centre in 2011. She finds the office staff to be passionate about their work as well as inviting and helpful; they provide a welcoming atmosphere for clients.Candace grew up in a family of five on a farm south of Delburne, AB, along with all the typical farm animals! She moved to Sylvan Lake in 2011 and married in 2014. She enjoys every day as it comes, but she especially enjoys being outside and spending time with friends and family.


Office Manager

Christel joined the Sylvan Lake Dental Centre team in 2010. She is delighted to have the opportunity to work in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members are always friendly and strive to meet each client’s needs. Christel sees dentistry as a form of art, where the dentists, assistants, and hygienists create smiles on faces of all ages. She believes every smile is unique and beautiful. 

Christel is originally from Wainwright, Alberta, and moved to Sylvan Lake in 2008. She is a mother of three wonderful children, a lifelong learner, and has a warm heart. In her free time she likes to listen to music, go dancing, watch movies, and read. Christel looks forward to meeting you at your next visit.


Administrative Assistant

Sara always liked the atmosphere of dental offices and wanted to get into a profession that was family orientated and focused on the health and wellbeing of others. She joined our practice in September 2016. Sara’s favorite thing about dentistry is getting people to smile. She enjoys meeting new people and creating new relationships, and is proud to often be the first line of communication between our patients and the doctors, thus helping patients to achieve their oral health goals. For Sara, what makes this team stand out above the rest is not only the dedication everyone has to truly wanting to help and make a difference in our patient’s lives, but also in helping each other as a team, especially when it comes to the importance of family.

Sara is originally from High River, Alberta, and has lived in Sylvan Lake since 2011. She is married to Josh and has two sons, Mason and Cruz. Sara likes reading, discovering new music, hanging out with her boys, and being surrounded by friends and family. She grew up riding horses and entered the occasional rodeo to barrel race, and would love to learn how to quilt.


Administrative Assistant

Roxanne joined the Sylvan Lake Dental Centre team in 2017.  She has 30 years of dental experience and absolutely loves the dental field.  It’s her passion to meet new people and serve them, sharing information and booking appointments.   

Roxanne moved from Calgary to Rocky Mountain House where she is enjoying the country life. Outside of work Roxanne enjoys hunting, fishing, biking, hiking and other outdoor activities. She loves traveling and has lived in numerous countries.


Administrative Assistant

Jamelle joined Sylvan Lake Dental Centre December 2014, bringing over 10 years’ experience as a dental receptionist. She has always enjoyed working in the dental field, getting to know new people and seeing how much a “new smile” can mean to someone. Her belief is that every day should start and finish with a smile.

When Jamelle is not at work, she likes camping (winter or summer), bike riding, reading and most of all spending time with her two children. You’re most likely to run into her at Tim Horton’s or down on Lakeshore Drive, enjoying the water.
